These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Jobscribe ("we," "us," or "our"), including our website, application, and Chrome extension (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Accounts

To use most features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

2. Description of Service

Jobscribe is an AI-powered job application assistant that helps you track job applications, upload and manage resumes, and use AI to tailor resumes to specific job postings. The Service includes:

  • A web application for managing jobs, resumes, and tailored documents
  • A Chrome browser extension for capturing job postings
  • AI-powered features for resume tailoring, job matching, and keyword analysis

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

Plans

The Service is available in Free, Starter, and Pro tiers, each with different usage limits and features. Details are available on our pricing page.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a subscription, you are entering into a contract with Dodo Payments for the payment processing. Dodo Payments handles billing, tax collection, invoicing, and payment compliance. All prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes as determined by Dodo Payments.

Subscription Renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. Dodo Payments will send a renewal reminder before your subscription renews, where legally required.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until then. After cancellation, your account will revert to the Free tier.

4. Refunds

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload content that is fraudulent, misleading, or infringes on third-party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Use the Service to generate resumes containing false information about your qualifications
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use automated tools (other than the Chrome extension) to access the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service or its outputs
  • Exceed your plan's usage limits through circumvention

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you upload (resumes, personal information). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it as necessary to provide the Service, including sending it to AI providers for processing.

AI-Generated Content

Tailored resumes and other AI-generated outputs are created based on your input. You own the output generated for you. We do not claim ownership of AI-generated content produced for your use.

Our Service

The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Jobscribe and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

7. AI Disclaimer

AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated output before using it. We do not guarantee that AI-tailored resumes will result in job interviews or employment.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jobscribe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users. We will provide reasonable notice before termination where possible.

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Jobscribe operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
